The event in Philly went great! Shauntelle, the bf and myself drove down there on a Tuesday night to hopefully book work for ourselves. When we first entered there were about 20 people in the room. There were other fashion designers and modeling agencies occupying tables and booths. The lounge had dim lighting and was extremely sexy. We mingled and I was able to pass out my business cards to potential models and other designers. While getting my drinks at the bar I met with the man from Black Men Magazine. He stopped me and thought I was a model (definitely stroked my ego), I kindly declined and stated I was a designer. He was quick to invite me to audition for their designer competition in New Jersey on Sunday the 22nd. As we were talking, Shauntelle walked up and he was excited for her to come to the model audition that same day. We exchanged info and headed off to enjoy the rest of the night. After taking some pics and having fashion talk in the ladies room with complete strangers we left the cute little section of Philly we were in and headed to the tunnel. By the time we left, the lounge was packed with models, designers, reality star celebrities and modeling agencies. It was a good night of networking and long island ice teas!
